Bong cleaning made easy!

Bong cleaning made easy! - How to clean your bong in no-time!

Clean bong in no time!

A guide to get your beloved lady clean again quickly.

We all know it: after a period of use, residues will settle in our bong, chillum and bowl. Regular cleaning is essential to remove the sticky and tar-like grime. Fortunately, this can be done very easily and quickly with a few tricks and aids!

Basically there are two different options: Either with Schmand-Weg, hot water and brushes or, if the dirt is particularly stubborn, with high-proof alcohol and salt.

You should also distinguish whether you want to clean a glass pipe or a plastic pipe. But more about this later.

The things you need:

  • A sink with hot water/tea kettle
  • Schmand-Weg, High-proof alcohol (70% and higher) or Roor cleaner
  • eventually salt/rice or other small grains
  • Plugs
  • Brushes and pipe cleaners

Cleaning a light to medium polluted pipe with Schmand-Weg

  1. Basically, it's good to know that you can achieve much better results if the water is really hot when you clean your bong. The quickest (and most energy-saving) way to do this is with a kettle!
  2. Disassemble your pipe and rinse all parts well with hot water. This should first loosen the coarse dirt.
  3. Now put about half a teaspoon of Schmand-Weg (take more or less depending on the size of the bong) into the bong, close all holes with a cork or rubber plug and fill in hot water again.
  4. Now shake the bong so that the cleaning agent can spread nicely and let it work for about 10 minutes.
  5. Also, put accessories like clutch and head in a hot water bath with a little bit of Schmand-Weg.
  6. Then you can scrub off the rest of the dirt with brushes until the glass shines and sparkles again. It's also best to get a narrow brush with which you can easily clean your bowl and downstem.
  7. With this method, a good rinse after cleaning is essential, because you don't want to leave any cleaning agent in the bong. The last step is to rinse your bong thoroughly with water until there is no more soap left.

Cleaning a heavily soiled bong with alcohol and salt

  1. A far more effective method is cleaning with alcohol. It is particularly suitable for stubborn dirt and bongs that are difficult to reach with brushes.
  2. As with the previous method, disassemble everything and rinse with hot water.
  3. Then add alcohol and salt. The alcohol dissolves the sticky dirt and by shaking well you can achieve a "scrubbing effect" through the salt. This way even the strongest dirt should be dissolved in a short time.
  4. Put small parts (downstem, bowl, possibly pre-cooler or ash catcher) in a bowl with alcohol and let it soak for approx. 30 minutes.
  5. Again, rinse everything well and voilà - the next session can start!
  6. By the way, this procedure is super effective with all kinds of Percolator pipes, where you never really have the opportunity to use a brush to scrub.
  7. Cleaning glass or acrylic bong

  8. The mentioned methods work best with glass pipes. You can also use Schmand Weg for your acrylic bong, but then the water should never be too hot. If the water is very hot, the plastic becomes brittle and the bong gets small cracks in the material, which in turn causes more dirt to settle. In the worst case, the acrylic can also crack at some point.

Avoid lime disaster!

All bong smokers probably know the problem: At some point a persistent white veil forms in the glass pipe, which cannot be removed with normal cleaning agents. This is limestone!

Our tap water, i. e. your bong water, contains lime. Over time, this lime also settles on the inside of your beloved bong. To get rid of the limescale you only need a standard limescale cleaner or the anti-limescale from Roor. After basic cleaning, add a few drops of it to the bong, let it work for a short time, and rinse it out again. That's it!

Now your darling should shine in new splendor and spoil you again with a first-class taste!

Bong cleaning sucks? This way every pipe stays clean longer!

To keep the coarse dirt out of the bong, we recommend the use of ash catchers or pre-coolers. These collect the ashes before they enter the bong water, so that the bong itself remains much cleaner.

And a little tip at the end: Try to put a few drops of standard vegetable oil into the bong water. No matter what kind of oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, hemp oil or rapeseed oil. Dirt will be bound by it and will be less likely to adhere to the inner wall of your bong.

Let's go!

What are you waiting for? Have fun smoking and enjoying your crystal clear shining water pipe!
